Laughing with Telemarketers

I just hung up the phone with a woman who called to get me to join her network marketing plan.

Many phonesSeems she got my name from a list of "fresh" leads she had bought from some company. I laughed and told her that I had once worked a network marketing deal in the mid 90's and told her she needed to go back to that company and give them what for. For some reason that struck her so funny and we laughed and laughed!

Then I told her about the power of laughter and how easy it is to share. There are nice ways to say "no thank-you" to someone who has contacted us to offer what they consider an opportunity and I told her about a telemarketer who called me a few years ago. At the time I was trying to sell my house, so when I answered the phone I asked him if he was a telemarketer and when he said yes, I got excited and told him that I had a great deal for him. I spent the next 10 minutes trying to sell him my house and we both laughed and laughed!

It's so true that each moment, each person, each situation is filled with the possibility of joy if only we expect to share our laughter with everyone we meet! Now that's a Great Expectation!
